Learn and explore a beautiful selection of Chinese Canadian Contemporary Art. Join our fun and free art workshops at FT Art Studio to explore various techniques through both heritage and contemporary artmaking!
Explore themes of both heritage and contemporary art from global perspectives. Learn how Chinese Canadian identity merges with diverse cultural influences. Learn through ink, acrylic medium, and mineral pigment in a Western contemporary way. Also, integrating Chinese characters into abstract and colorful nature fosters an appreciation for multiculturalism, identity, and the shared space where different cultures can coexist creatively. Participants will explore various meanings of Chinese words with fun prompts and techniques that are easy to pick up!
This workshop is free! It runs from 2:00pm – 3:30pm on June 8th, 2025. You must register via Eventbrite.
If the event is full, walk-ins for demonstrations without participation are welcome.
Please note the workshop is for adults.
Instructions can be offered in both English and Mandarin. The venue is wheelchair accessible.
